Our Eagle Rock ADU: Highland View
Highland View is a finished, permitted ADU, built to make a small footprint work hard:
- Kitchenette: white oak flat-panel cabinets, a quartz counter, square tile backsplash, induction cooktop, under-counter refrigerator and a matte black faucet
- Murphy bed wall: a built-in fold-down bed in white oak, flanked by full-height storage towers with drawers, so the room works as a living room by day
- Bathrooms: a white oak vanity with a quartz top and matte black fittings, and a neo-angle glass shower in white zellige-style tile with a black shower floor and a patterned tile floor
- Finishes: wide-plank oak floors, recessed lighting and a ductless mini-split for heating and cooling
- Outside: we also did the landscaping
How long an ADU takes
From design through the final inspection, an ADU usually takes about 10 to 12 months. Most of that time goes to design, plan check and utilities; construction is the shorter part.
Permits in Eagle Rock
Eagle Rock is part of the City of Los Angeles, so ADU plans go through LADBS plan check, and the utility connections are coordinated with LADWP and SoCalGas. We manage the permit process and the inspections.
