Pearl Street: a repeat Santa Monica client
The first job at Pearl Street was a full remodel of the house: kitchen, bathrooms and finishes throughout. The owners brought us back for a second phase: we vaulted the living room ceiling with shiplap and an oak beam, added a stone fireplace with an oak mantel and built-ins, created an arched mudroom and laundry in white oak, and built an addition off the back of the house with a new office and a primary walk-in closet.
Remodels and additions in Santa Monica
On a Santa Monica lot, an addition has to work within the city's setback, height and lot-coverage rules, and vaulting a ceiling means re-framing the roof structure. We work through those questions with your architect before pricing, so the estimate matches the project you'll actually build.
Permits in Santa Monica
Santa Monica permits and inspections go through the City of Santa Monica's building department, not LADBS.
